Beatriz Sempere

Designer

“There is always a reason why a product is born, and it is definitely not inspired by copying another or simply because you follow a fashion”

Background

Born in Alicante, Spain in 1975, Beatriz Sempere has always pursued design as a dialogue between rationality and emotion. After training in industrial design in Valencia and furthering her studies in footwear pattern making, she relocated to Italy in 2000, where her creative vision matured through collaborations with architectural studios and leading design houses.

Design Philosophy

Her philosophy is rooted in creating pieces that enrich everyday living, functional yet deeply human. Sempere combines Spanish warmth with Italian precision, shaping collections that feel both contemporary and timeless. For Nicoline, she translates this approach into furniture that embodies harmony, comfort, and subtle romanticism.

Notable Works

Among her most celebrated works are the Apelle collection, awarded at the Edward Haimsohn Design Awards, the acclaimed Frisè armchair, and expressive designs such as Guapa, Loopy, MOU, Santiago, and the nature-inspired Forest series. Her creations continue to earn recognition at international exhibitions, from Salone del Mobile to Salone Satellite.

Through her partnership with Nicoline, Beatriz Sempere brings forth designs that not only enhance interiors but also resonate on an emotional level, uniting Italian craftsmanship with a soulful, contemporary aesthetic.
